Wheel Spacers...Where to Buy???

Where can i purchase a set of spacers? i was looking at the rogue spacers and the H&R....anyone have any reccomendations?

I saw someone at BMFeast running a 20mm rear and 10mm front set up....looked great!

Your input is greatly appreciated!

H&R makes excellent spacers, some of the spacers that we include with wheels are from H&R. Rogue has an excellent reputation, but I do not have direct experience with them, so I would leave the comments on those to someone who has experienced them firsthand.

Whichever way you go, make sure you are using longer lug bolts to get proper thread engagement.

Ben..can you PM me with prices and fitment? i want to run a 20mm rear and 10 mm front...is this possible on the stock wheels? let me know and give me some pricing...well move foward from there! thanks buddy

Rogue spacers come with longer lug bolts. You don't have to order them separately.

Sorry for confusion. I just wanted to give a little help because you weren't getting any replies. Tire Rack does not sell a full line of spacers, we just have certain ones packaged in with wheels. Some of them are made by H&R, and we have found that H&R has very good quality.

^ No real disadvantages really. Before people were scared that spacers will crack but with brands like H&R, they are perfectly fine.

For street use, other than having an extra part to deal with when installing or removing wheels, it is not generally an issue. Radically increasing the track with large spacers can have some effect on steering feel. Obviously you can go too wide and get rubbing issues, but that just means you need a smaller spacer.

You should run a lug bolt with an increase in length ~equal to the thickness of the spacer to ensure proper thread engagement.

For track use, spacers are not recommended, because under the extreme stress of track driving, the longer lug bolts come under more strain and can break off due to metal fatigue. If your track wheels use spacers, replace the bolts at least every season.

I know people want the perfect stance, but why not just get the right offset in the first place?

FYI: running a 20mm spacer in the rear with the OEM wheels (ET22) will in effect make the wheels ET2... I would say, 10mm is perfect, a 15mm will be pushing it, a 20mm will stick out with the rear OEM wheels.

Most probably the 20mm spacers that you saw before were installed with ET30 rear wheels, not OEM.

correct. he was running a 20mm spacer with BBS LMRs. Did not petrude from the wheel well at all...

It's because some wheels are not made with the perfect offset for certain cars (or an offset that you would like to run). For example: if you want ET22 but the wheels you're interested in are only made in ET32, you will have to run spacers unless you want to buy a different set of wheels.
