ASR intake scoops?? What happen to them? - Page 2

Here is the real question. If they make power, and don't have a drawback (other than costing money) then why don't the boys buying the RDSport engine rebuild have these? It isn't like they don't already have $15K+ in aftermarket mods already.

Most of us already have the Gruppe M intake which come with scoops built-in the intake part behind the kidney grills. I belive the scoops in the Gruppe M intake are 0.5 inch or less smaller, but its there.

Check this out. I ordered a set. Cant beat the price and i was going to paint them black anyway.

I got their e-mail back about the RED version VS new batch...it seems not only the QC, which he didn't mention, but the driver side of the scoop has this 1.5mm bend difference..

I'm still waiting for an answer to see if there is a difference between. If not much, the red looks very attractive and price too

The new ones will drop in about 4-5 weeks, and back to original price.

So up to you guys~~ (I'm still waiting for my answer to put my purchase)

P.S: Here comes my silly question, if you have a gruppe M CF..can you still attach this? They look fairly similar in terms of design compare to stock box...but RPI scoop should have a much longer extension...

Yes, the difference is you have 150 less dollars with ASR and don't get them for another 2 weeks to a month.

You can spend less and get the RPI scoops now which exist and work extremely well.

A 1.5mm bend difference will be completely unnoticeable in terms of performance. For $75 they are a must have. Pocket the other $125 and consider yourself lucky.

Beyond horrible, doesn't respond, and gets offended if you dare question him. You should have seen him and I get into it on 6speed. It was like an 8 page thread, I'm not giving that jackass any of my money.

Just checked and they deleted it! I can't believe it, I guess I made ASR look pretty bad and since they sponsor 6speed they got it pulled.

Not sure who you guys are talking about above but I ordered a set from Suprempower on 10 Sept, they said they would ship that day. So I waited until 2 Oct to inquire, and they still had not shipped. They said they would ship them on 2 Oct. Hope they come soon.

Have you guys had a chance to check out the aFe Scoops ? This was just released by aFe and performs the same function, we also have them on special for you guys at $169.99.
