Call it what you want. I just don't see anything wrong with the idea of saving innocent life. The church is trying to uphold a moral society as opposed to the barbaric sloap we're on.

Jesus would be against war and aggression. In fact, I'm pretty sure he'd be a hippy, promoting Buddhist living, if he were alive today.

At [my wife's] church the other night, I was thinking about how it's so odd, in Christian churches, that there is constant, continuous praise of Jesus; I'm sure he'd be against it. He'd want people to do as he did, not worship him. Too much emphasis on praising, and not enough teaching. Way too much magic, not real-life day-to-day stuff.

You're wife needs to find a new church.

One reason I switched. I prefer to have the sermon every week relate to some degree of what's going on in the world, in my life, etc.

What church does she attend?
