Limited top speed

I tought a M3 was limited in top speed at 250km/h ?

A took a M driver package so after the first check up, the top speed is increased to 286 km/h ... or thats what they told me

Now today i did 273 km/h and i didn't do my first check up yet

normal ?

Ive seen stock M3's do close to or over 175 mph, makes me believe that the 'speed limiter' is a myth...

I hit about 160-165mph the other day. I was suprised when I saw the speedometer, and I didnt get the limited feel when I reached that speed. It feel like I could go more but my exit was coming up,quick.

next time pull up the secret menu, which tells you the actual speed more or less.

I hit 280km/h and it could go faster but it was dark, mine is the euro version, but I don't think there's a speed limiter,

mine is euro version as well .... I coiuld really feel a barrier @ 273km/h, it can go faster, no doubt, but there is something holding it back

All Euro cars are limited to 280 Km/h.
I have tested with mine and it stops at 280 Km/h.
If it wasn´t limited i think it was capable of reaching 300 Km/h.

What about the M driver package ? the top speed delimiting ?

Mine is M Drivers Pack and it stops at 286-287 km/h, I believe non-M pack cars go up to 263 km/h.

But they told me that the delimiting happens same with the first check up ... So will it go faster then 273km/h ?

mine doesn't have the M driver's Pack and I hit 280, and never felt anything holding it back, the only thing I really felt was how the car was hugging the road at 280 where my e46 m3 at 260 felt like it was on the air.

In Spain it´s not possible to order the car without speed limiter.
I have the M driver package and it stops just about 280 Km/h.
