First Scheduled Maintenance - More Than Oil?

I got my first scheduled (non-break-in) oil maintenance today. I thought it only needed an oil change (I'm at 16K miles and that's all that the onboard info said was needed) but according to the dealer the on-line maintenance schedule said the car was to have the microfilter and air cleaner replaced as well. This didn't seem right to me, but I didn't argue a whole lot

Yes sir, as it states in the service manual the engine air filter is replaced at every service. The cabin air filter is subject to use, but since BMW is taking car of it for the first 4 years, you are better off having them replace it since it's not on your tab.
