How many of you will vote AGAINST rather than FOR?
I am personally voting against McCain. Obama is far from my ideal candidate. Just trying to pick one less likely to cause further damage.

I am on the opposite side but looking at it first most from the fiscal perspective. Then arranging the remaining topics in descending order of importance to me.

Interesting you say McBush. Other than national defense matters, which is argueable as McCain has been critical of Bush's policies, what other parallels do you find? Fiscal policies are vastly different.
And I am being serious so lets keep this civil. |

I will vote against the Democrat / Republican establishment. I will vote to grow a real third party (in my case, the Constitution Party), though there are some Republicans who likely will get my vote (maybe even a Democrat or two). The establishment Democrat and Republican parties offer very little difference in results.

The Republicans have heralded their party platform and "ideals" claiming that they would implement them if the voters gave them the chance. From 2001 to 2007 they had that chance and squandered it. I doubt they ever really intended to implement any real changes. They are status quo liars. On the flip side, the Democrats could be expected to get the same results as the Republicans.

Ok, your point (whether it makes sense or not is a different story) is taken. My problem with views like this is people are only voting for Obama because of what the "Republican party" did to the country in the past 8 years. Sometimes you will shout that it is the party, sometimes you will just blame Bush. Don't you see the flaw in your logic? You are voting for the Democratic candidate simply because you "hate republicans". It's exactly like people that know nothing about politics and/or haven't taken the time necessary to form their own educated opinion hearing Obama speak and voting for him simply based on his ability to make speeches and rouse a crowd. There are others (like yourself), that are voting on Obama simply because of what the Republican party (or Bush) has done to the country in the last 8 years. All of this said, without mentioning the fact that Bush and McCain are NOT clones of each other. You are voting for the wrong reason. And yes, I say these words knowing that nothing I could possibly say or do could change your views. It just amazes me how some people think.
