My Journey

****Long Post Warning****

-----------Cliffnotes-------------
+Buy,Sell GS300
+Work, save $
+Almost buys 335, end up with M3
+I'm the luckiest man alive
--------------------------------
My journey started started on october 28 when my parents got me my first car. I had originally wanted a used E46 3 series but my parents had other plans and got me an '06 Lexus GS300. By all means I'm not complaining and to this day I am greatful to them for getting me that car. The thing I loved most about Lexus was the quality of the car and the service you receieved with it. The staff at Lexus seem not to be as cocky as say a BMW or Mercedes dealership but this may just be in my area.

A little bit after 13 months and 13,000 miles I traded in my GS so my sister can get a car since she was learning to drive and she got an IS250 from the dealership at a great price.

I went about a year without a car since I was working to try and pay for half of my future car. At that time I had no idea what I wanted but all I knew was that I had to keep working to get as much money as possible. I ended up investing 90% of my money in gold and bought it when it was around $700 an ounce and sold it later at $950 which was how I got the majority of my money. After visiting the Infiniti, Mercedes, BMW, Nissan, and Audi dealership I narrowed it down to either the G37S or the 335i. I read up on both cars and the 335i was constantly praised for its twin turbo engine producing 300bhp and massive amount of low end torque. I went to the dealership(Fields) after making my mind up on the 335i and then something special happened. Just as I'm picking options for the 335 I see out of the corner of my eyes a brochure for the E92 M3 and asked my CA if I can see it. My dad is a pretty big car nut too and started flipping through the pages and comparing the M3 to the 335. I had told him that I intended to modify the 335i when I get it (chip, exhaust, wheels, etc) so it can be almost if not just as fast as the M3 in a straight line without having to spend all the extra cash. Apparently this did not sit too well with him and told me that he didn't think it was such a good idea. We left the dealership 5 minutes later without ordering the 335 with the M3 brochure to get some lunch and think it over. He ended up saying that he thinks I should get the M3 because I would keep the car a lot longer and wont have to go through all the trouble of modifying it. I disagreed with him saying I didnt want to spend all of my money and would need it for future use. He ended up saying he would help me out with my bills as long as I still worked and that he was trusting me with all that power under the hood. We went back to the dealership and ordered an AW E92 M3 for a production date near april.

Fast foward to april and my CA tells me that my production date has been pushed back to June. Couple days later he tells me that its been pushed back AGAIN but now to AUGUST!! Hearing this I immediately started calling other dealerships and after 12 of them I hit the jackpot with Reeve's BMW in Tampa. About an hour before I called, a guy canceled his order for a M3 that was about to start production and my CA at Reeves was able to replace the options with what I wanted and immediately took the 1k down payment. 2 days later I cancel my order at Fields when I get word my car has just gone into production in Germany.

After about 7 1/2 months of emotional rollercoaster my car arrives on 7/16 and my CA calls me around 5:00 PM to tell me that my car can be picked up tomorrow. 7/17/08 marks one of the happiest days of my life. I walked into the dealership with a HUGE SMILE and started immediately to look for my car. After 30 seconds I spot an AW E92 M3 sitting in the showroom. I immediately walked over and started inspecting it and to my suprise it was MY CAR!! At last we finally meet Paper work took no less then 30 minutes and another 10 minutes for my CA to explain all the stuff about my car(break in, etc)

It sure has been one hell of a ride and the past 2 months has definitely been a BLAST!!! Along the way I've met some new friends and competition

Car meet/BBQ (around 180 German cars showed up)
