Exactly. The BMW reps at the (800) number are obviously pulling the info up on their computers. Why can't the OC web site run off the same system/information? It seems to me that would be simpler too.

FWIW, I still can't check my status on OC either -- it still doesn't recognize my production number.

I struggled with IB or LMB for 2 weeks. In the end I decided I like lighter blues, so I went with LMB. I didn't actually see either in person during those 2 weeks, but I have seen IB E46s in person before and they did tend to look more purple than I really wanted. I figure now I can say I have one of the first if not the first E92 M3 in LMB.

Did you try that last 7 of your VIN number? By the way mine now says:

Awaiting Transport En Route

On the OC.

Yeah, I thought about LMB too, but went with IB since I saw one in person and loved it (I actually like the purplish hue in some lights because it makes the color pop a little). I figured it was a safe choice. The LMB will definitely look hot though. Was your E46 LMB? It looks like it from your avatar.

I haven't taken the time to call my CA or the (800) in the last week to figure out what my VIN is. I'll try that today.

Nah my E46 was Laguna Seca Blue of course. I have also owned a Daytona Blue 350Z and a Captiva Blue Pearl 1992 Honda Civic Si. Needless to say I love blues.

My bad, I knew that was LSB, just got confused. My IB will be my first blue car in 14 years (my very first car was a navy blue '80 Ford Fairmont, which still gives me nightmares).

Just called the (800) and got my VIN. That allowed me to enter my car on OC. It says "Unknown Vehicle," but it lists all of my options correctly. The (800) also said that my car was in paint and would be completed today. Woohoo!
