After observing my cranks for awhile I noticed its usually like that when the car is cold. When the car is warm it starts up pretty fast. The cold start cranks have not got longer...still about the same.

My Cranks are also starting to get longer. It used to only be when the car was cold now it is happening quite often. I am getting my first service done today I will ask them to look at it.

Sorry to bump an old thread.

Any updates? Or has anyone actually HAD a failed fuel pump on the M3? I think Lazlo stated he replaced his, but I wasn't sure if he was referring to his prev 335 or the new M.

I've started to notice the long cranks on my car as well now. I've only had her for about 4 days now. I'm still on the tank of gas provided by the dealer, so maybe it's just crappy gas?

Anyhow, just wanted to check for an update to see if anyone had/heard any confirmed failures.

I'm not used to the long crank and I let me foot off the clutch just a split second too fast and the car fails to start the first time. Other then that the car has been flawless
