I know how you feel. I had to get rid of my beloved 05 STi and 06 e46M3 in order to get my 08 M3. Both of those cars were so much fun to drive! But once your M3 arrives, the EVO will be a distant memory!

your a cluster....
When he said balance, I thought he was referring to balance of comfort, luxury, and speed...none of which necessarily make a car better. Pardon my ignorance. and FWIW I never meant to imply that balance means nothing.

To the OP: congrats. i wish i had that choice to make.

M does nothing for you. EVO is loaded with electronic gadgetry to keep you in control even when driver makes a mistake. it is very easy to be a good driver in evo, but not so much in m. evo is more forgiving. rwd driver can easily go to awd, but vice versa can be tricky if you are not used to it.

Not firing at you specifically JJ, but... "why" do you "got to move on"?

Because girls like you better in a BMW? Because society says you need to drive a more expensive car to be accepted? Because you are a punk if you drive an Evo?

LOL.

I still drive my Evo because I love it. And it's reliable. My windows are darkly tinted and people are always suprised to see who's driving when I roll them down. I'm not going to give up the car just because I don't fit the demographic.

Evo drivers still acknowledge and wave at each other, even here in jaded SoCal. And (funny but) I get great treatment in parking garages and drive-thrus. Down to earth enthusiasts appreciate its honest performance without the expensive badge. It's just a special car with a real following.

I've discovered over the years that driving what other people think I should be driving does not make me happy.

evo and M3 are BOTH driver and tuner cars. One has less frills. Both are extremely good and are not bad decisions. I know everyone drinks the BMW koolaid around here but lets face facts the evo is a surprisingly good car.
