One of the most interesting figures is the 300K M cars built... 300K in the entire world (of course many are no longer with us). Compare that to the 1 million plus E90's that have been delievered since 2005.....sheesh..... 100K M3's sounds like a lot until you look at the companies other sales figures....

I am impressed, even with a weakened economy (us. japan), higher energy costs, BMW is increasing sales. I would have expected it to stay static and not grow. 100,000 M3's i feel is a little optimistic especially since a lot of M cars are bought in the United States. However if the EU's economy stays the way it is they can hit that sales number.

30% growth in SUV (X5) sales? Wow!

Has "BMW M GmbH" built all the "M" branded cars since 1980 (or whenever the first was built)?

Yeah I'm pretty sure BMW Brand sales have been down consistently in the US for the past few months, but apparently elsewhere they are kicking. Of course Mini Brand sales in the U.S are absolutely on fire - up something like 35% this year.

Yeah I read in Roundel that they will shift some of US production to Russia and China aparently as the demand there can pick up the slack where the US economy is lacking. Seems plausible.

What an absolutely enormous generalization/assumption/non-sequitur. There is no proof whatsoever that BMW besting sales targets can be correlated with an increase in qualiy problems. Sure the raw number of quality problems did likely increase, but as a percentage very likely not.

I would like to see a break down of the M3, IS-F and C63 sales units. Since they were all released in the same year.

This would be interesting..... I would guess that the C63 has the far lowest production...but the Lexus might make more than BMW??

No, it is not basic business common sense. You have no data. And I think you meant to say Moore's Law, which has nothing to do with quality

It's possible if the robots have formed a union.
