When did you take your car in for the first service?

My car says I need service in 700 miles, but I already have 700 on there which equates to 1400 miles. Just wanted to see what you guys did for your first service ... did you take it in at 1200 or when the car told you to?

I have a DCT btw.

You need to add an "other" choice on this vote. I brought my car in to check on something at around 900 miles and the dealer went ahead and did the initial 1200 mile break in service as it was so close to the 1200 mile mark.

Mine said I needed service somewhere around 700 miles too. I waited until 1149 and brought it in then, right before bimmerfest. Then I got it tuned and the rest has been history

Mine doesn't say it needs service yet. I have 700+ on the clock and the indicator says I have 700 miles left to go which adds up to 1400.

same here but i have close to 800 right now and will probably make an appointment for later this week

my car never told me anything, but when I made my appointment with 900 miles it said I needed 500miles, I new I would be at 1200 in two days and on the third day I dropped it off w/ 1253 and picked it up with 1253...

2301km ( 1429 miles ), car told me 2250km (1398 miles), but it was Sunday and everything is closed...
