I am taking delivery of a DCT AW this week and that S3 thing has just bored me! I was always hoping that both power and gear mode would revert to last with only DSC changing to ON after a restart. BMW fix this quickly!

Here's a tip for anyone using the Corsair drives. They are slightly too tall to plug into the usb port and close the console lid, but you can trim the rubber loop off the top with a knife and then close the lid no problem - saves having a cable in there.

good tip! I've ordered the 16 gig Corsair, will trim it like pubic hair!

Matt, nice review and comparison.
Excellent color choices on both the M3 and 997S. IMO, Cobalt blue is as good as it gets on the 997S.
