Euro Front Bumper Cover
Secondary to my recent misfortune with my front end, I have been giving some serious thought to replacing my front bumper with the Euro cover. What is the downside to having one? Will my car still pass future inspections? Are tickets very likely and if so, how would I do a fix-it ticket? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

you would have absolutly no problem with teh euro bumper.
Its just law to have the car built to specs but once the vehicle is owned by a person that is all up to you. So no fix it tickets, no future inspections. You do have options though. Euro F bumper with only headlight washer Euro F bumper with headlight washer and PDC Euro F bumper without any options Euro F bumper with only PDC if I was in that position I would go for the fully loaded F bumper considering I already have the headlight washers it would be nice to add the front PDC. Although would cost more. Now I wonder if the car is prewired for front PDC just like its prewired for rear fog lights

Thanks for the info. I did not get PDC for the rear and I also did not get the headlight washers. I guess I'll go with the bumper with no options.

Should be available through your dealer at some point. Last I checked there was no price listing for them yet. Evosport was also looking into it for me.

Would you be so kind as to get more specific info.? I need part number and price for basic cover, no washers or PDC. Also, what is his source. My parts guy says it is not in their system as of today.

I dont understand why US cancel the front PDC. i think it helps alot of ppl. Plus its a big plus for ppl who lowered (dropped) their car !

22. Why wasn't front PDC offered in the US. He doesn't know for sure, however when you develop a new front fascia to fit the front PDC sensors, the car must be crash tested with the new sensors in the fascia. The crash test rules aren't the same in the EU and don't require another crash test.

I don't buy that reason. A few little nickel-sized sensors with some wiring are not going require a new crash test. I think he was groping.

Yea could be he was groping, I wouldnīt doubt it considering the responses he gave to several questions. You know, "I donīt know this, I donīt know that", what the h is that? He should know a lot more IMO. But anyway, although it makes sense that some puny little sensors should probably not alter anything, what other reasonable response is there?
