TeknikensVarld: M3 E90 vs C63 AMG

Hope its not a repost

Autobahn impressions:
M3 - The reeving is like a poison, so is the engine sound.

C63 - Above 220km/h the C63 is not as stable as the M3, something we arent used from Mercedes. More wind noise from the sidemirrrors than the M3.

- The suspension in C63 is stiffer than the M3. EDC system is very useful.

- In both M3 and C63 we wish the seats could be lowerered, you sit kinda high.

Track impressions (wet and dry):
C63 - Driving in automatic mode feels strange but its working good. No matter what gear you use the power is there. In manual mode we can decide gear on our own but when the reevs gets too high the gearbox change gear on its own, not very effective.

The M3 chassi is more userfriendly than C63 and the steering is more precise.

Conclusion:
As a package the M3 is more complete. And thanks to better suspension ride we prefer the M3. C63 is to harsh for our taste.

Dynotest:
M3 - 13 hp and 30 nm less than BMW claim
C63 - 21 hp and 76 nm less than Mercedes claim

M3 / C63
0-100km/h: 5.1 / 5.2 sec
0-160km/h: 10.7 / 10.2 sec
0-200km/h: 16.6 / 15.3 sec
0-250km/h: 29.3 / 27.0 sec
0-402 meter: 13,3 sec@178km/h / 13,2 sec@185km/h
Slalom: 77 / 75.5 km/h

Fuel consumption: 1.42 lit/mil / 1.54 lit/mil.

19" wheels on both cars.

Funny, 63 I drove as well as my own AMG do not upshift on their own on Manual mode!!! Also thought the 63 was a bit more stable at speed (Very MB). 0-100 times suck for both!! Hahaha!!! Agree totally with the rest!!!

Seriously, is everything about 335i's with you guys? I could post about breakfast cereal and someone would chime in about how a 335i is sweeter than Frosted Flakes.

Its from a swedish carmag.

This carmag is getting bad 0-100km/h almost everytime. When they meassured M3 CSL a couple of years ago they clocked to 5.5 seconds.
The 0-200km/h times are better and more inline with what other carmags are getting though.
