How do you think aftermarket wheels will look w/o a drop?
Hey Guys,
I'm considering going with these wheels & skipping out on getting the OEM 19's" Just looking for your honest opinions. I'm seriously concidering these wheels but, I don't think I wanna drop the car since I'm getting the EDC option. Do you think they'll look good? They are by SEVAS wheels here in Miami FL, 3 piece custom forged wheels. I'm friends with the owner, he's a class act & his custom wheels are comparable to HRE, IForged, ect..... |

Hey, I wouldn't go that far. The strongest wheels, no. Weak though, definately not.
Getting back on topic, do you guys think these wheels will look good without the drop or should I just go with the OEM 19's? |

Not sure how a drop makes the wheel look better

The R22 wheel is not shown on the web site but every wheel there is described as cast alumium, one piece. They don't look like one piece wheels. All weigh in around 27 pounds, about what you'd expect for cast.
Are you sure the R22 is forged and not cast?

read above.... The reason why I'm asking is because my current E46 M3 looked like it was a 4x4 after I put my HRE's on. After the drop, it looked AMAZING. I don't think I wanna drop it this time around since I'm going with EDC. Opinions anyone? |

i think a drop will be necessary anyway, after market wheels with stock height looks kinda weird IMHO |

Dropping ride height
Agree. A little drop would be nice even with stock wheels. I may consider some springs after a while, but the suspension is just so darn good now I don't want to mess it up. I'll probably go with some more aggressive monoforged wheels later.

I can't see giving up performance for some perceived cool look. Rubber bands don't look good, IMHO, destroy ride and compormise handling.

I think the car will look better with a drop, especially in pics, but will also look fine IRL without a drop. H&R makes sport springs that work with EDC. Of course they will probably void your warranty on the EDC mechanism should something break.

Sorry, no, nothing has been debunked. Why do you assume the wheel breaking is recent?

Yah np...to me 18'' wheels are too small for the big wheel arches...IMO, a nice 19 fits it perfectly and if it's lowered too much, then it'll just look weird...
Hakaida...when was this taken?
