just got back from my dealership after my sales guy called to tell me that they have a test car in (alpine white / carbon roof / black extended leather / fully optioned) $70,000 or so

he said he thinks all the dealerships are getting the same thing for test drive vehicles

the car is stunning; very pleased to see the final product versus screen shots

i didn't test drive as it's a saturday and the place was mobbed (i thought the economy was in the dumps?!?) and the sales rep has to accompany you during the test drive. i'll go back next week and give it a spin. he said this car is available for sale, but you can't take delivery until the end of the month. i'm guessing it'll have a couple hundred miles on it by then given the test drives (you know people will blow through the 5500 rpm break in whilst they flog the tester)

anyway, i also had them bid my car. not very impressed with their offer. 2004 m3 titanium cab on red smg 19's cold weather 39,900 miles and they go $27,500. any thoughts out there?

My dealer offered me $17,000 for my 01 E46 m3 in mint condition with 52,000 miles on it. I was pissed. I am paying full retail for the new car (which is to be expected) but for them to try to rape me on my trade was uncalled for. I ended up selling the car private for SIGNIFICANTLY more money. Of course they were very disappointed to here I sold my car and would not be trading it in. I also got another offer from a high-end used car dealership that was $4,000 higher than my dealer's offer. Shop it around if you are unsatisfied with their offer.
