just got saw an alpine white m3 at my dealer today at sterling bmw newport beach

they have 3 actually, 2 white coupes one with a sunroof (lame IMO) instead of the carbon fiber roof. and one jerez black sedan with a sunroof also. the jerez black in person actually looks like blue. i got in the sedan which was getting cleaned up in the detailing bay and fired her up. because she only had seven miles on her, it didn't sound to good (IMO) but then again i didn't rev it up to 8400 r.p.m. was gonna go for a ride. but there was alot of traffic out right now so i think i will go back tomorrow mid day and really take advantage of it. the seats felt amazing. so supportive, yet still soft. largely in part due to the upgraded leather these ones were equipped with. the car is pure sex. they want like 20,000-25,000 over sticker. but if you're interested i have a friend there who is a CA and his name is dave williams he can work with you on the pricing quite a bit, considering cars aren't exactly flying off the lot right now.

sorry for the very scatter brained write up i just got home form the dealer and i am still excited so i just wanted to share this with you guys. go take a look for yourselves those of you that are local. i would post a couple pics from my iphone but i don't know how to do it on here. so if you would like to explain. i'll update later.

The Sedan only comes with sunroof, no CF there.

I love Jerez "Black" and nice find

That's hilarious, I bet they only want 19k over sticker on the right coast.

The funny thing is people will pay. Then 2 years from now they'll be discounted.

I had no idea until I saw the GT3 v. Carrera S write-up in R&T. My officemate has a new Carerra S which I've ridden in, and I actually thought the interior is a bit all business. When I looked at the numbers in the magazine, the Carerra S pretty much smokes an E92 M3 in every which way. When you say 20k over sticker, you can have a Carerra S and a little change for about 10 gal. of petrol. What, is the new M3 more exclusive or something than the 997?

20-25k over sticker? are you kidding? I know a manager here in Central CA that can do sticker any day.

Weird that yours is above sticker, both the sedan and coupe here are
well barely over. We only have 2 though and they are dealer demo cars

Yeah we got our first one yesterday. Melbourne Red coupe. The car is just pure sex. And they do look a lot better in person. Especially the fender flares, I just couldn't get over them. The whole car just has this muscle to it. It's something that a regular 335 could just never have. Is it worth the money? I would have to say yes.

Oh brother, they want $85,000 to $90,000 for them? A well optioned E92 M3 is $65,000, so adding $20,000 to $25,000 sticker puts them near Porsche 997 territory. Sorry, but I'd take a 997 over an M3 any day, any time, any where.

either way if i where to spend 65k + on a m3 i would rather pickup a used 997 carrera S for that price or even 5k more any day, any time, any where

I would love to go and see this baby, but I was so disappointed with the way Sterling treats potential customers that I don't ever plan on going back.

+1, see my post in the dealer review section about how I was treated by one of their CA's.

There is plenty of dealers that will sell them or take orders at no more than MSRP. And yes I think the premium MSRP you pay for a M3 over MSRP 335i is worth it.

WOW, I just read your review and that was flat-out horrible.

LMAO at the M3 issue

I'm not sure if it's bad luck or the dealers in SoCal, but I received bad service at Sterling, Crevier, and Irvine The best service I received was at BMW of Monterey, but the funny thing is the same guy that gave me good service gave my mother bad service.

Most of the time its about how they feel about you and how well their day goes. He can replace everything for you free of charge or he can not help you out at all.
