Guys, I think I've heard responses from just 2 people on the "official" logo idea.

The following would like to have a single official logo: South, OC, Lucid.

I believe Rvacha is the only member so far who would like it to be somewhat customizable.

I think we should give people the option of displaying the logo either as an avatar or a sig.

Others should chime in so that we get a sense of what people think. I will then start the poll to pick the logo.

Even if the majority would be against a single official logo I think the presidents and other "functionaries" should have a consistent signature including "President" or "founding member" or "spokesman", IMO also premium members should have a sig in the same design...

i think there should be a single official logo that can be used only as a sig - this would be to identify us as belonging to Club 6MT, just like a flag

thereafter, individuals may wish to customise the official logo for use as their avatar or in addition to the sig (but not in the form of the "official logo"), that's up to them...

my 2 cents.

Your jpg is 22K and exceeds the forum limit of 19.5K - do you think you could compress this a little more so that it woudn't have to be stored on an external web site?

OK. I will set up a poll for the official sig logo tomorrow morning. That should give everyone enough time to finalize what they are working on. A maximum of 2 submissions per person.

it's very nice. HOWEVER. if everyone has the same avi and same siggy it's gonna get very confusing. the other thing i like to switch siggies a lot. so what im suggesting is we make something the size of avi that people can include in their siggy design...

having said that, i have to admit it's a nice idea (shifter + pedals

)

2 sigs and 2 avatars or only sigs at this moment? Do we even need both?

At the moment I'm favouring the sig idea also. If everybody had the same avi it'd be completely confusing. (Thanks to the DCT club guys for this insight

)

You can make it different for different tiers of the membership. That isn't a bad idea if everyone agrees with that.
