Debadge ?

Help....

I am wanting to have my car debadged RE the M3 insignia. My dealer is telling me that is not an option. I'm confused? Others who have or are doing same thing....how is this done? Are you telling your dealer to have factory not put the insignia on the car or is this indeed normally not an option that BMW gives and so do you have to get it removed yourself after delivery?

Regards for the help

I beleive it's attached with double sided tape. You can just pull it off.

I haven't heard of it being a factory option to not have the badge on the car.

I believe it is an option in Europe, or at least it has been in the past. A heat gun and fishing line will do the trick, followed by some adhesive remover.

I actually thought of doing that for Bimmerfest. Crossing out the M3 badge and putting a 325 logo over it.

I did it on my E46, I'm going to it on the M when it gets here. All you need is a hairdryer, some floss/fishing line, and a claybar.

1. Heat the badge, but not too hot so the paint doesn't get damaged
2. Use the floss/fishing line and push it down behind the badge until it comes off
3. After removing as much of the tape as possible, use the clay bar to remove any residue.

Took me about 20 min.
