What transmission is available?

hey guys...
kindda new here...
just wanna know, what transmission will the new 2008 m3 come with? just the stick shift? or its optional?

So far, the only confirmed transmission by BMW NA is a 6-Speed Manual. There are rumors and a few iffy sources that say the M-DCT will be available with the M3 launch around March however.

thanks man...
i really want the m-dct,
well, the car wont be out untill march and the new 2009 model will be avaliable at the end of 2008, few monthes different... guess just havta wait a bit longer

I'd say its more than just a few months different. Around 7-ish months of a wait. And like Red said above. Search the forums, there is a wealth of information here about the transmission. It'll help easy the pain of waiting.
