Yes, he is basically saying that full blown US production will start in March and the first customer allocations will be for April.

Again, these are all estimates so make of them what you will.

Has anyone actually heard it? It's based on the DIRAC system out of Sweden. Huge amount of digital signal processing, Class D amplifiers, etc. Logic 7 is purist compared to this. Not sure I want that much signal manipulation. I'm also not that impressed with the design of the speakers. Neodymium magnets won't improve performance, just reduce weight. Hexacone material is ok, but sounds no better than well designed paper or metal cones. The devil's always in the details, and all this high tech may or may not be better.

DSP is a huge part of reproducing sound when we are talking about it coming from CDs or MP3. You want no DSP when the source is encoded with HD audio or enhanced sound, i.e DVD-audio, SACD, DD or DTS encoded. Thereby letting the pure signal pass through the processing unit of the audio system and delivered to the ears without interruption or additions.
I also find it highly odd you think well designed paper cones are sufficient.
And let me try to comprehend that you are dogging on Class D amplifiers...
Do you know the benefits of such amplifiers?

You're not very clear, but it seems you're referring to the fact that CD's and MP3's are 2 channel and the others are (potentially) multi channel. SACD and DVD Audio can actually be either. Or did you mean something else?
The DSP you are describing is basically addressed by Logic 7; i.e., generating 5.2 surround from 2-channel sources. That has nothing to do with DIRAC which uses DSP to address the loudspeaker system in the car environment. From their product description:

Here the 6FL option is $400, cable included. Thru Military Sales is $350.00, cable not included.

The base system is the HiFi system. The sheet davo posted says 10 speakers and 200 Watt, Logic7 has 13 speakers and in total about 350 Watt. So the $700 probably are for the Logic7, Individual Audio seems not (yet) to be mentioned in that sheet.

That's what I guessed, but then again, the one-step-below-Logic 7 audio upgrade in the 1 Series is a $875 option here in the USA. And the base audio system in that 1 Series is that same 10 speakers and 200W amp.

Unless this is an upgrade only for the M3, I doubt it. I do think either that Logic 7 will be standard or that price is made up.

In the other hand, the Individual Audio (Enhanced) in the M5 is a $700 option, however Logic 7 is standard.

Verified with my dealer as well, the premium sound is the individual sound.
In the brochure he linked to, it states the 10-speaker system is standard. Same thing as in the M5 and the upgrade there is $700. It's obviously reasonable to expect the same dollar amount for the M3.
