going back to your ex is generally a bad idea. no matter how bad you feel right now, you must have broken up for a reason. and that reason will come right back and cause you to break up again.

it's normal, however, to continue sleeping together for a while. but eventually, one of you will find someone else and the other will be hurt.

not to be a party pooper, but 95% of "back-and-forth" relationships eventually fail as a whole. you're better off not wasting your time anymore and moving on sooner rather than later.

I married the last one I went back to . . . the breakup involved her ex. Once he was clear of the picture and no longer willing to hurt his own kid because of me, things worked out alright. Been together 9 years since then, married for 3.
