Thanks Andy! Do you usually sign it yourself (knowing the car is well maintained) or bring it to a shop every time?

(Most of sponsors in the West Coast do not require this...)

I was up there yesterday. High 2:09's was still the best I could do. I can prob shave a second or 2 off of that, but without slicks or aftermarket suspension that'll probably be about as good as I can get.

Were a few other cats from the forum up there, but between instructing, my sessions and a couple telcos for issues at work I didn't get much of a chance to go around and meet everybody.

Dude was fast, I was in the other gray M3 and he blew past me the whole day. I was running 2:15's.

I ended up getting a total of 20 min driving time since I had a stoptech ST60 caliper let go... Leaking fluid and letting air in is no bueno.

Didn't get a chance to take anybody on rides, sorry. Hoping the ST's just need new seals.

I was around 2:12 or so on AD08 street tires last year (old track, dunno how much faster new curbing is).

2:09 - nice!!! I'm still chasing it with 2:12 as my best with nt01s.
I put swifts up front to balance the car as my camber plates raised the front and I think this helped. I just have years of driving a cayman embedded in my head and the m3 drives very differently relative to what I am comfortable with. I'll get there.

All Good times! I have a bone stock e92 w/ almost bald PS2s, 2:20 was the best I could do on Saturday... my 1st time with the car on track and at VIR.
Hopefully I will do better next time!

A 2:12 on last year's track/pavement is pretty damn good man. I forget what i got, but it was slower than that for sure..... 2:14 or 2:15's maybe?. On new track you should be around 2:07-2:08 i would guess.

Wow, it is that much faster now? I wasn't going to get any decent times last Friday anyway on V12 hankooks, but having my day cut short with brake failure didn't help. The E9X M3's were well rep'd at rezoom.

My lap timer was recording similar times, but I recall passing you a few times. Perhaps mine is broken, or not configured correctly?

Yep, absolutely, same here. BTW that brake fluid overflow reservoir is a BMW motorcycle part number, 34217706055. I bought it online from BMW of Chattanooga.

Haha I am sure your laptimer is correct man! I started off session 1 with 2:50s!! My best times were in second half of session 3&4 when the instructor let me run freely lol

I wouldn't say the track is THAT much faster, Ian, you just got a lot better!

A solid 2 seconds, for sure. I don't know about 5...
