Resonator in place or primary cats?

I've got a set of TP's ready to install and soon to have a BPM stage 2 tune...but my only concern is that TP's with the stock exhaust will be too loud for me. I live in a quiet neighborhood and leave at 6am...so I need to keep it quiet. I plan on doing the cold start delete to help, but am thinking a small resonator in place of the primaries might be helpful.

Has anyone done this? (Yes, I searched for awhile and didn't find anything)

FWIW I roll my car down our driveway into the street every morning before starting the engine...the initial startup when my car is in the driveway wakes up my daughter.

Thanks!

You will be fine, if the rest of the exhaust is stock. I can hardly tell any difference in sound with just the TP's.Mike is the man, and you will love the tune.

TP are slightly louder during cold start (20% louder) , and very quiet (5% louder) at normal throttle operation. The only time it becomes "loud" is when you are 50%+ on the throttle. Other than that it, sounds exactly the same OEM.

thanks for the input...guess I'll leave the TP's as-is and hopefully install next week.

Tp's with stock exhaust and cold start off and you'll be good to go. Nice and tame when you want it to be, and monster all other times

Plus, no point in having a cold start cycle to warm up primary cats that don't exist, although we do have customers from time to time that like the noise and keep it enabled for that purpose alone.

Test pipes with stock muffler is as close to stock as you can get. It's very, very tame. Like everyone has said, delete cold start and you're good to go.

Update: got both the BPM stage 2 tune w/ cold start delete and installed TP's (w/ everything else stock)...everyone on here was right - idle sound is very similar to OEM; exactly what I was looking for.

*and WOT isn't ridiculously loud...just a healthy bump up over OEM.

Thanks!!
