Gloss vs Matte Front Grills

Anyone have some insight on what would look better on a Jerez Black car? I'm worried the gloss might look a bit funny since the rest of the car is a dark blue, but that seems to be the more popular option.

I had mate grills before and tought it looked cheap, can't be happier with the OEM black chromes, the color is a perfect match with the carbon fiber!

Totally agree. Bought matte black and took it off as soon as I OEM Black ones came in.

Thanks guys. Who sells the oem ones? I assume this is glossy black without the chrome, right?

Hey, I totally get your point. I saw an M3 yesterday with the black grills and thought it looked way better. In pictures I thought they looked awful. Funny how that works.

I have Jerez Black and went with the matte black grills but jerez black side gills. I like the grills more than stock but am wondering if I shouldn't have gone with gloss black instead. I know, I know gotta get rid of the yellow angel eyes ...

I would do Gloss Black if it was my car. Can't go wrong either way.

I have an AW but I switched from Matte to the Black Chrome and will never go back. It looks a lot better. If I had a JB, I'd do gloss black.

Black chrome, there will be a little contrast yes but that's a good thing.

I agree

I think the matte grill looks like you painted it yourself with a spray can. The black chrome looks much better.

Is there a vendor you guys recommend for OEM gloss grills? I see a lot of third parties, but not sure who has the best fitment.
