I have the combination of x5d and a track only e46 m3 I can tow with the x5. Good combination for me, don't care much about performance on the street and the x5 is a decent daily, comfortable and somewhat quick.

Cayman S or 996 turbo?

What do you guys think about a 996 turbo?

I'm sure it would smoke the Cayman, but is the Cayman a much better drivers car? Anyone have significant experience in a 996 turbo?

Whoops, voted before reading that you were looking into 1st gen cayman's and not a 981.

I change my vote to GT3

I'll just go ahead and leave this here:

A touch underpowered, sure, but if you're looking to add a Porsche to your stable and want an absolute drivers' car, hard to argue with this.

GT3 FTW! You can't even compare these two cars together. I've owned few cars in the past. E82 135i, Nissan 370Z, E93 M3, E82 1M. I have driven all these to the track, and believe or not. I sold them all after I drove the GT3 on the track. And I don't feel like driving any other car on the track expect GT3RS 4.0 now!
