I just saw one of these today. I was admiring a GT-R turning left next to me and heard this screeching noise to my right at a light. It was the SRT8 showing off. He was going in front of me, falling back then accelerating again for me to bite. I didn't. It was peeling out going 45mph so that thing must have been SCed. Looked damn fast.

Speaking of traction vs. power, here's my encounter with a Grand Cherokee SRT8:

From his 101mph trap speed, I think it's unmodded 5AT Hemi. Still, the video shows very clearly how I was reeling him in quite quickly despite being "slower," and yet still lost the race because I ran out of track.

That's because the e93 weighs as much as a F10 550i sedan lol

M3 convertibles are slow and were created just to appease market demands. There's a reason why you don't see published lap times on them.

that car has another second in it. the m is faster than that Jeep, that 60ft sucked lol.

I know this post is old, but great minds think alike... Love my 2014 SRT. I had a 2012, and the 8-speed is much better than the old 5! There are no "lag spots" anymore. I can regularly pull sub 4.5 0-60 times in the SRT, with a best of 4.3. You are dead on with the stereo and the handling. It really is a fun beast to drive, and I actually get a kick out of spanking M3s at stop lights even though I drive one .

I laughed when I saw this post, because just yesterday an E93 convertible pulled up to me at an on ramp stoplight where we had three lanes wide and at least 1/4 mile in front of us before we had to merge into traffic. We summoned our inner pimply 16 year olds and mashed the accelerators... I stayed in front of him up to speeds I shouldn't talk about before he backed off (yes, I know the E-93 is heavy).

Makes me think about getting a supercharger for the M3, but in all fairness, there isn't much out there for under $100K that can take the Jeep off the line.
