Risk Free Gambling??

Has anyone ever tried to make a money from 'matched betting'? I say that term as if I know what i'm talking about when I really don't haha. I stumbled upon it last night and I've been reading up on it a lot today. I found a site called raid the bookie (https://raidthebookie.com), which seems to guide you through step by step. I'm close to taking the plunge and giving it a go but I wondered if any of you guys have tried this or something similar and know if it works???

edit: 2 weeks later I can now answer my own question it seems! Yes this does work! :-)

Casinos (online or not) are in the business of making money out of people hoping to win big but in reality they wind up losing their shirt. Sure, once in a while someone somewhere will win big but those time are few and far between. The odds are always stacked against you and in the long run the house will always win.

Cheers.

The thing with this though is that apparantly it isn't actually risking anything since you are just converting the free Bonuses they give into cash. There's a video on that site, which I've watched a few times now and I 'think' I get it, just wondered if anyone else had tried it though! I have personally never gambled since I don't like the idea of losing my money but this caught my eye. Thinking it could fund me some new alloys!

Keep in mind, this site is focused on pounds and in the UK, they don't tax winnings. Assuming everything is on the up and up, your window for profit (after any loses and fees) is going to be smaller once you account for taxes.

If it is risk-free than it isn't gambling.

Trust me, if this was "risk free" everybody would have started going this way instead of traditional betting. It's like when friends tell me that I shouldn't be able to lose in blackjack if I count cards. There is no way to make money 100% of the time when betting on things.

You say that but this really does look 'risk free'. As you are using the bonus money the bookies give you for signing up and offsetting it against another one. It's not a long term solution to win big, but it seems you can make a few hundred quid risk free using this (if you're in the UK or Europe I guess).

I might give it a go later in the week and report back how I get on!

its a ploy to get you to gamble more and usually there is a limit on the amount free they give.

invest 100 and they may give you 150 back in "free bet"

best case scenario, you wager 100, lose the free bet and profit 100 - fees ( at least you keep your 100.

Other scenario, you lose the 100, but win the free bet, 150 minus fees ( they do not let you keep the "free bet". net profit 50 minus fees.

Now you need the discipline to withdrawl the money and close the account. If you make more bets, they are happy to keep their commission.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
similar things are offered at casinos and people play 50/50 games to get cash back out of it.

Well seems I went against most peoples advice here and gave this a go ... Almost 2 weeks later and i'm currently 304 quid up. I'm pretty pleased with that. I've got a couple more other offers on their site to work though but all in all i'm a happy camper and have some money towards the stereo upgrade I want!

There was no risk either. Took me a while to get my head around this 'matched betting' but even a complete moron could follow their site.

Anyway, thought I would feed this back to you guys in case anyone else had thought about it.

Edit: oh and I think this only works in the UK ... (I still have my accounts open over there so was able to do this)

you ever watch the show money talks on msnbc? Thats what you should do. Seems pretty good if you got the right bookie to work with...

Fly to vegas, blow 4k win another 4k, you pay the casino 150 for placing the bet, and 20 percent to your bookie.

Isn't word "gamble" meaning a risk?

Maybe I didn't explain properly after asking the question initially. This isn't a long term solution to making money, you can only do this once per bookmaker. They give you a 50 quid sign up bonus when you deposit 50 quid. Offset this bet with another one using another free signup bonus and no matter what happens you come out with a profit as half of the money wasn't mine.

They only give you this bonus once sadly, still it's great as there's so many bookies online these days there's still plenty more to go at.

I'm not promoting 'gambling' or anything, simply feeding back to my initial post, kind of answering my own question I guess! I guess this thread can be closed with ... yes this does work!
