Damn Intersection Cameras

So coming home from the gym this evening...I'm trying to make a left turn. The light's green when I get into the intersect, and while I'm making a left, the guy in front of me slows down and the light turns yellow. All of a sudden I see a flash, and bam...I knew a picture was taken. There was a Lexus behind me, but I don't know if the picture was taken of me or him. I was hoping I was close enough to the car in front of me to block my front license plate, but I don't even remember.

BTW, I was in the city of Santa Ana, right next to South Coast Plaza. I don't know if I can fight it...any ideas? Thanks in advance.

i live rihgt there and those lights go off left and right...you mihgt be albe to explain that you were stopped by the car in front of you...i dont know though....maybe it wasnt even you to begin with..

You may be able to fight it depending on the clarity of the camera. If they can't prove you were actually driving the vehicle at the time of the incident they haft to let you go.

Hah. Here in South Africa, we have those camera's (and other non-permanent speed camera's) all over the place. It's a damn f-up. I once went through a red robot - because there was an ambulance trying to get through the traffic in an emergency - the camera flashed - and I would have gotten a ticket (but I didn't have my rear plate on that night: lucky)

Yea, I'm hoping it was the Lexus behind that tripped it. Oh well...wasn't there a time not too long ago, none of the LA County intersection cameras didn't really work because of budget cuts?
