Aftermarket intake sound + Akra Evo question

I've searched but failed to find an answer to what I'm looking for.

I currently have an Akra Evo and I really like the sound. At certain rpms there is a howl that I love. It's not raspy or a throaty growl. It's hard to describe.

Is this sound due to the exhaust or is the intake that is just more pronounced now that I have the Akra on there?

I'm debating on whether or not to put a Dinan CF intake or MS filter in there. It's not for the power as I'm not going to notice a 1-2% increase. I just want to get more of that howl sound if possible.

I've never heard an aftermarket intake on an E9x other than at idle and I noticed no difference there.

How does it change the sound quality and is it only at certain rpms? Is it at part throttle and WOT?

Thanks!

Intake sound has nothing to do with your akra exhaust...

If your question is "will an intake overpower my Akra Evo system", the answer is no.

If your question is "will adding an intake alter the sound of my exhaust", the answer is still no.

I know it won't alter the sound of the exhaust. But there have been threads referring to the sound of intakes such as the Dinan. I'm trying to figure out what that means.

Is it just turbulent airflow people are hearing and if so, is that really a good sound?

E92 M3 with full akra eve system
I've just replace my stock air filter with BMC

BMC filter doest seem to alter the sound of akra. however , there is always a slight drone or resonance sound during WOT between 3.5k to 4k rpm. after BMC, that sound between 3.5-4k rpm becomes more significant louder. is that normal with akra evo system?

The Dinan intake adds a great sound and paired with the Arka will make for one great sounding combo.

I went with the AA green filter and couldn't be happier with the slight boost in intake noise and MPG.

This is incorrect. With the Akra and even an aftermarket filter there is a very strong resonance at WOT as someone previously said. I absolutely hated it so I went back to the stock filter which still has a bit of a tolerable resonance

With the MS filter and Akra, I had a rattling noise coming from the filter area at around 3k rpm. Solution was to switch to the AA Green filter.

Me too. Very noticeable plasticky clattering sound between 3-4k RPM at WOT. Hated the way it sounded.

Any idea how to get rid of that rattling sound? It's definitely louder after BMC filter. May revert back to stock filter

Anyone with dinan or gruppeM having the same rattling sound at WOT between 3.5-4k rpm?

Is this a design flaw of the akrapovic evo system? I drove my mates stock M3 & had no such issue

I have the GruppeM intake with a stock exhaust--no Akra. I have no such rattling sounds at 3-4K RPM.

No rattle with the AA intake thus far.

I should have specified; I have the Dinan intake.

I should note that it was very apparent with the Akra Evo, much less noticeable with the Akra slip-on and test pipes. Since switching from the Akra slip-on it's gone (or at least I can't hear it anymore).
