Until both M4, C AMG (Coupé too is coming), RC-F are not tested, one cannot know which one is faster. Look at the GT-R, it is much faster than it appears on the paper. GT86 is much more fun than is appears on measures (0-100, lap time, etc...). LFA for example does not have any advantage over 458 Italia, yet around a track it is as fast is not faster. In fact, there were rumors of more CF in the RC-F, not only roof and hood, but also doors and trunk and even more. There is a rumour of a hard-core RC-F in the likes of CSL and BS AMG.

In any case, the M4 better be very very good, be the competition has caught up. New RS5 will also come, with big promised weight saving and +480 PS 3.0l V6 Biturbo, Infiniti Q60 (Coupé version of Q50) will also have a sport version, the Q50 Eau Rouge make 500 PS, but the engine is unknown. Then the ATS-V Coupé, and an Alfa Romeo Giulia Coupé (should be called 6C) with Ferrari/Maserati V6. Use of CF is also likely, seen the full CF chassis 4C. Exciting times ahead. M3/M4 has never had that strong competition. Not to talk if Porsche decides to have a similar model.

Comments like that should have "Haterator" tagged in them automatically. Completely ridiculous.

Did I say a Mini Van is worth $40k? All new cars are overpriced today.

Looks far better in the regular pics and video than the promo ones. Can't wait to see this car in person at the local Lexus dealer.

Left lane news is reporting that Toyota just renewed the trademark for the Supra
I wonder if it will share any parts with this car? It makes sense to do so.

But what is the damn price point for this car, Yota? And will there be a ISF or is this the ISF coupe (like an M3/M4)? It just doesn't make sense for this car to be higher priced than the ISF when the engine specs and weight will be so similar. Actually, this car might end up being heavier than the ISF.

Too big, and probably too heavy. I'm interested to see if it's naturally aspirated.

The RC F has a true race engine. It powered the IS F CCS-R race car that participated in both the Pikes Peak Hill Climb & 25 Hours of Thunderhill.

Video of swap:

Good for you Lexus. Now, all that's left is to see what it weights. I'd love to own another NA V8.

I keep seeing a weight figure of 3,968 lbs on other websites. If true, it is porker for sure.

The CF roof is a borderline marketing gimmick that really only matters to hardcore enthusiasts. With the E92 M3, the CF weight savings are 11 lbs or 37 lbs compared to a steel roof or sunroof, respectively. It technically shifts the center of gravity downward which aids load transfer, but I bet the actual effect is imperceptible to most. It really just looks cool and gives an owner or manufacturer something to talk about.

Has anyone confirmed the 3,968 lbs figure? I keep seeing it stated as fact but Lexus has yet to make an announcement.
