I thought about this route but am afraid of slamming on the bump stops. I changed them out to the E36 but didnt shave the spring perch or anything. I want about another inch in the front and 1/2" in the rear.

To complicate things, Motion control coils are what I have on my car, it sees lots of track and lots of street use. Not brutal on the street and great on the track.

That's what I have as well and would say its slanted to track. Depends some on spring rates also.

I actually had good experiences with Tein coilovers. In my experience, they were super durable. I put a good 80k miles on my Tein Type HA and they rode like they were brand new still. Daily driving, track days every 2 month and autocross every 2 weeks. I was also much younger then... I don't know if I can live with the harsh ride nowadays. The Type Flex were a bit soft but they were comfortable for street. These were on cars under 3000 lbs so I have no idea how they'd perform on a heavy newer car. Also, I don't slam cars so most of them are lowered about 1 inch or less.

I can't believe nobody mentioned Dinan. For street use I think the Stage 1 is fantastic.

Yep, you just keep the stock EDC shocks in place.

They technically are not Coilovers. But a spring kit.

Im thinking of sa tck just for ease of use and ppl seem to have good reviews of tck and the fact that they tested on their actual car.

TCK's look good. I'll have to do some research on them when I get home. Been seeing some KW v3's and club sports in the FS section too lately.
