Shopping for wheels. Where do you buy them?

What is your favorite source of wheels online? There are so many various distributors for wheels, but they all have a small selection. What are the best places to see a wide range of different brands/types? What is your favorite place to shop?

Unfortunately Tirerack selection is not very good. I've used them before, but I want more choices

EAS - great combos

I ordered mine from EAS and don't look just at the specific wheels for the M- o roadster etc. Many of he wheels for other models will also fit the z-4s including some for the m-s and the european models.

My family runs a variety of wheels from these guys and they have not had any problems with their wheels after years of use.

mod bargains dot com (does this forum really filter out URL's now? How ****ing annoying!)

If you are wanting to spend over $1200 per wheel I would only consider reputable, big names in wheels: BBS, Forgeline, and Volk. I'd steer clear of these Jonny-come-lately brands that are marketed heavily by vendors here. You will never, ever see those wheels at a track event, they're more for photoshoots in front of Miami skylines.

Tire Rack sells a few BBS wheels but mostly just cheap shit for Pontiacs.

I would suggest browsing the forum vendors. Give them a call and let them know what style, use, and budget you're looking for. A lot of wheel options aren't always included in a distributors online store.

It's also helpful to peruse the Wheel/Tire section for reviews on particular wheel brands/models

..Or just give us a call! We would love to set you up with new wheels for your M4

I find the product I want then scour vendors for the best price.

What really bothers me is companies without an inventory. Nothing is more annoying than placing an order for an item marked as "in stock" and having it go through, only to get a call the same day saying that they are on backorder from the manufacturer. I know having a massive inventory is not always realistic in this industry but it's quite annoying from the perspective of a customer.

Looking around, I think I will end up with VMR 710s, unless I can get some ACS IV for cheap.

Don't do it. I had these on my last M and they're heavy to say the least.

Our wheels tend to be on par, if not lighter, than most factory wheels, while being larger in diameter, and wider. We also now offer flow formed wheels, if you're concerned about weight. 19" V810s are about 22 pounds per wheel, depending on the width and offset.

I'm not looking to start an argument with the manufacturer of a wheel company, I did run your wheels as I felt they were in good standing at the time of purchase. However, upon running them I can attest to my original opinion of them being heavy to say the least. I ran 710's 19x10F and 19x11R - they made the car feel very sluggish and added too much weight to the four corners.

I haven't bashed your wheel designs or integrity of the wheels before you blow this our of proportion, just saying they are heavy. 3rd party information always beats manufacturer's words, no matter who you are.
