VW Kubelwagen "the thing" vs. 330i

I have a friend who thinks "the thing" is a better ride.Please let me know what do you guys think?

i love the rims are they compatible on my e90

That "thing" looks versatile and convertable. I think it falls under the cult classic cars, like the BMW Isetta 300.
