How many times did you add oil in between oil changes?

I have about 800 miles until my next oil change (every 5,000 miles) and my oil level is almost to the minimum mark. I do not race or autocross and this is my daily driver. I drive "spirited" once in a while. I'm waiting for the computer to tell me to add the quart. Is this normal?

Normal, yes. Drive it, it will be that much less you'll have to drain.

It may be normal for your car. Mine has not needed any between changes. Just rolled 40k, with 10,000 miles between changes.

1 ltr per ~ 1000 miles on mine.
Daily drive.
2007 E92 M3 manual
Done 53k on the clock

Do roughly 40 miles per day * 31 = 1200~ ish miles per month.
Higher than my friends but seem to fall within the BMW specs.

There is nothing wrong with oil consumption as long as it's not a crazy amount, and as long as the consumption ready is steady between oil changes. Topping it off actually replenishes the additive pack and dilutes any contaminants.

Does the system give you a check control if its an oil leak?
Dude, we just answered your question in another thread. You don't need to spam the forum and ask it repeatedly. It's not hard to understand: the oil level fluctuates a little bit.

Worry less, drive more.

It is normal and it also depends on your driving habits. My car is not a dd, so I really don't need to add, but maybe once between my oil change. And also depends if I drive it really hard. But all Ms use oil, nature of that engine.
