I'm in Singapore and its a volume game. No one in Singapore brings these tires in and in these sizes they are very hard to come by. The prices of hankooks in Asia is very controlled. You'd be surprised how much cheaper stuff is in USA even after shipping. Distributors there order by truckloads and can afford to sell on lower margins

Found a couple sites that sell the TD. ventusTD.com has decent prices but only a toll free number and no email.

I can't call toll free numbers from Singapore. Can a kind soul call them up in the morning and ask if they ship tires internationally and if there's any I can get in touch with them through a non toll free number?

I'd go 265/295 on those wheels. IMO square setups are purely a cost decision. You really should want some more rubber in the rear (that's what he said).

The downer is cost...you'll have to bring at least 2 spare tires with you.

Which is why I use square setup.

What are you trying to say?

Seriously...I was in Korea in 2009. I priced out RS3s which were literally made about 30 miles away and they were twice as much compared to Tire Rack pricing.

and exactly what it looks like. thought that tires made locally would be cheaper than set made in france.

Interesting to hear this feedback from someone who's tried both setups.
What alignment settings and tires were you running?
Would there be any rubbing issues with -2.5 camber in the front?

I'm also debating what to get for track setup. I'm supercharged so
was originally thinking staggered but there's very limited tire options.
TD's in 265/35f - 285/30r looking like the best way to go.

The square setup opens up a lot more tire options and bang for the buck
with 275/35 Nittos etc. I'm thinking Apex 10's squared 285/30 TD's would
be plenty of rubber the back and sounds like the best of both worlds.

Looking forward to more grip!

If you run the TD's staggered I would go with 295/30/18's in the rear vs 285/30/18.

What about a 285/30/18 front and the 295/30 rear?
