Outdoor car cover

I'll be parking the car outside this winter and I'm in need of a car cover. I can get an OEM outdoor cover for 200usd shipped, I was wondering if anyone has bought a good quality, fitting cover in Canada for a better price.

I got the OEM one from the stealership for I think 250? so you got a pretty good deal. The OEM one is very good, you're not gonna get better for the price. DO NOT go to canadian tire & buy their shitty simonez ones. you get what you pay for.

I've got the OEM from Amazon about $169 + shipping ($30)

Did you have it shipped to you? If so, did you have to pay import duties and taxes?

DO NOT COVER YOUR CAR IF IT IS PARKED OUTSIDE!!!!! The cover will damage the paint more from blowing around and chafing than leaving the car uncovered will. Cover the dash and seats to protect them from UV and just give the car a good wash in the spring and you will be much better off!

there may be some truth to this, but i'm not 100% convinced. I like being able to just dust off the snow, throw the cover in the trunk and be off. much easier than brushing the actual car off (also protects paint better as those brushes are way too harsh IMHO). I had it outside with the cover all last year, no problems. Paint had some swirls but I think that was just there from before I took ownership.

Also i once saw a cat SLEEPING ON MY CAR, LIKE IT OWNED THE THING. Cover paid for itself right there as far as i'm concerned.

Well the cover will just go on once then I'll take it off in the spring. I'll make sure it's strapped down so its not blowing around.

Yeah it fits really tight, so I didn't have any problems with excessive flapping. You can tighten it up real nice so you won't have any problems. If you're not planning on driving in the winter, I wouldn't bother with a cover & try and store it inside somewhere. The battery will die & I'd be worried about leaving gas sitting in the system. @ the very least get a no ethanol gas through your system before you stop driving.

I've parked my previous toy car outside in the winter before. New oil, remove battery, throw on crappy tires and it's good to go. Starts up in the spring like nothing has happened. I use shell 91.
