What a terrible idea. Never work with your significant other.

Talk about suffocation. Working together can cause too many issues, I'd fire her now if I were you.

This is like a nightmare I have every so often. I usually wake up terrified and in a cold sweat.

As others have said, don't treat her any differently at work. Even something as simple as putting your arm around her can set another person off, then you're BOTH on your ass because that's how companies settle sexual harassment cases.

I wish you both the best, but someone has to go.

+1 for new job. It takes the whole fun from the work. The last thing I want is my wife or GF being mindful of my work. Not that I am doing anything wrong, just that consciousness is enough to annoy me.

Keep it separate. PERIOD

does this have anything to do with your other post about your boss? I'm away from my wife 15 hrs a day and I guess what, I don't mind it at all.

Lol. Good attention to detail. Actually no it has nothing to do with it. It's a separate issue of mine. I like this forum not only because my love to BMW but because people tend to give real time life experience advice on separate issues. Good to hear your positive input. We are actually doing fine now and it's all smooth.

I got my sigfig a job at the company I was at. We lived together for about a year. Nobody at work knew this because I was very good at compartmentalizing our relationship and keeping it separate from work. We had a few fights after work about how I wasn't nice at work or being helpful, I explained she shouldn't expect better treatment than other coworkers and that our interactions are honest and that is all. If I critique your work it's not to put you down but to aid you in progressing at our work place.

After almost 2 years at the company I left moved states and the sigfig and I are still dating, its tough now because long distance sucks, but that's another issue.

I've also worked with family. I worked with my older sister for 2 years at a large firm. She couldnt separate family from co workers when she was at work. She treated me like a younger sibling and not as a co worker. She would be pissed off at me when I reffered to her as my co worker in front of clients and not as my sister. It was tough. I eventually quit and moved to California.
You've broken up with him at least half a dozen times within a year. And that's just passive oversight on e90post/instagram... could be more.

LOL - I was just going to make a similar comment! I could have sworn I recently read that Sara dumped her sugar daddy and deleted him from her phone book.

What I remember most about that post was that nobody cared. I thought it was very commendable that the leg humpers didn't come out of the woodwork at that post, which is what I figured it was designed to do.

This is the truth. I've been with my girl for 3 years and its the same thing. We both give each other hell, take time from each other.

Some people are fortunate enough to find people who aren't clinically insane.

If there are serious problems now in <1 year, what makes you think it's going to be better down the road/and even worth your time..? Sounds crazy to me.

That's just because they haven't been diagnosed, yet.

Tell her about the last thing you both got excited about butterflies-in-the-stomach, giggling. Memorized those moments first then discuss that problem with your wify and try to get solution, if it doesn't work.....the only solution is find another job.
