It was the same for the E46 too.
On page 19 of the UK brochure, the M dead pedal can be seen in a RHD car. I hope I'm not going to be short-changed.

The nice metal rest for your left foot instead of the black plastic one. Looks like BMW may have shortchanged the right-hand drive ones.

I thought I remember reading on here that UK cars don't get that.

Ah, thanks guys. You know, I'm not really sure what is in my car, but I think it's plastic covered. I'll check it out when I'm back in London...

I would be surprised if UK spec cars have any 'missing items' when compared to the base spec in the US. I'll now need to check this out tomorrow.

No need. You already posted a picture of what appears to be the regularly 3-er's dead pedal in your car.

Sorry.

Well be surprised then. It was the same on the E46 M3. Right hand drive cars didn't get the M foot rest.

I will certainly feign surprise at the dealership when my car arrives!

Big, black, round, rubbery ones. I'm sure they must be about 19", because they fit on the wheels and they're 19" too...

I think they are Michelins, but I'll check later and confirm.

Does BMW even have a part for that, or did they just skip it altogether?

That's not meant to be a dig at anyone either - it's an honest question.

I'm guessing they didn't go to the expense of making a different pedal for the relatively small number of RHD cars. The countour on the left side of the pedal is different between LHD & RHD.
