Bird poop on jet black

Why does BMW paint suck so bad...
Whenever I get pooped on, after cleaning car with water I can clearly see the etching where the poop was. I always clean it within several hours.

Even after polishing the heck out using Meguiar M105 and M205 the etching is faintly visible at an angle. This is after i've detailed the car 3 weeks ago and put on Zaino CS. Would a regular wax protect against bird poop?

My Nissan had a ton of bird crap sitting on for a few day and would come just fine after a wash.

Well it all starts with the fact that there are different types of poo bombers! They are highly skilled professionals all with a different task and mission. You my friend were attacked by the deadliest of them all, they have special poop that is meant to stick to your car like napalm on a Vietcong soldier coming through the wire!!!

To be honest with you I have no idea, I am just bored out of my mind in Afghanistan........hang in there and wash it again.

The hotter it is and the longer you let it wait, the worse it gets. Jet black is notoriously soft already, the conditions just made it worse.

I bet your car was parked in the sun and then sat there in the heat with the poop baking into the paint?

Not much you can do... just try to avoid those situations.

You're not polishing it enough. Try something that's a little more aggressive. It should come out.

And absolutely, yes, use some wax on that car. I use Zaino products and they're okay, but they still need a top wax for the best protection.

I thought M105 was pretty aggressive. What do you recommend? (other than 2000-3000 wet sanding which I want to avoid at all cost)

Don't let it sit in the heat. the Acid from the poop burns through the paint. That's with every paint, not just BMW.

I've had 3 black cars prior to this and Jet Black is definitely softer than the others I had.
Like I said, my Nissan fared better after this carpet bombing in 4 hours of time.

Sometimes its unavoidable and you would think there would be some way to correct it. The same thing happened to me a few months ago and the etching still hasn't gone away. I have no way of knowing how long it sat in the sun because I was at work. Washed it off immediately. Car is regularly detailed including clay bar, polish and sealant.

My car has auto finesse tough cost sealant, wax and gets a light spray of Adams quick detailer during drying. I had a bird crap on my roof and it had to sit for a couple days. When I got the time to clean it I was expecting to have to do a serious paint correction. I was shocked to see that the paint wasn't damaged at all. So I plan to stock up on their products and put them to use on all of my vehicles.

My black jetta is the same. A bird decided to use the toilet on top of the hood. Left a mark. Took some thorough detailing to remove the eyesore mark.
