Resurrected: E92 M3 Moved off the cinder blocks to HRE FlowForm

A month or so back my car was brutally violated and stripped of her shoes. After weeks of battle with the insurance company and no help from the police (expected), and fighting to find a decent set of rims that I could jump on quick - my car is finally back in action.

I was a bit skeptical going from forged to cast wheels, but I couldn't wait for 8 weeks waiting on a new set to be made, and couldn't find anything that really turned me on in the classifieds. I am really satisfied with the way these turned out and I'm loving the concavity. They actually came out to be alot more concave than I expected. Unfortunately to people looking to pick up a set of these - the Pictures do not do them justice. You have to see these in person to really appreciate them.

Enjoy (and sorry for the crappy Iphone Pics)

Looks great I have a set on those in gloss bronze on my F10.

I'm assuming you have 9" fronts and 10.5" rears. What size tires do you have on them?

These look better than previous rims IMO. What suspension are you running? Feel like you could probably use spacers to bring them out a little.

Finally someone threw these on, took forever

man i went a size to small like an idiot. 245/35/20 in the Front and 275/35/20 in the rear. They are stretched out a teeny bit.

Funny thing is my previous wheels were 9.5 in the front and 11 in the rears and i had the same size tires and they fit perfectly.

I'm on the B&G Drop springs - and def looking into spacers.

I was pretty surprised no one was rocking these on an M3 yet myself. Maybe I'll take some good shots and send them to HRE

245/35 and 275/35 on a 20" wheel? You sure its not 245/30 and 275/30? 35 series seems to tall for a 20".

Garage List
Folks put to much into the debate on forged wheels being so much better than cast. While this is true, 95% of wheel owners will notice no difference what so ever.

For daily driving, commuting, and an occasional track day cast wheels will suffice. This is fact and not up for any sort of debate.

Folks pass to their friends that Volk wheels are a 10 and ADVAN wheels are a 6 due to Forge VS Cast. Both are excellent wheels and will get you through your day to day driving to and from work.

Would love to hear from HRE on this.....

On their website, the recommended tires sizes are 245/35 front and 295/30 rear. Isn't this too much of a stagger? Won't there be a significant change in handling dynamics, particularly increased understeer?

Wheels look much better than that ICONZ garbage, but those tires are way too small.

Agreed, like the new better than the old.
Did insurance cover the cost of the stolen set, or just OEM replacements?
