I have just the dinan rear section also and haven't experienced any drone at all, its almost too quiet....

I would guess either you are really sensitive or there is something wrong. I too have the Dinan Middle Racing and rear section and it is very tame. I'll make it a point to take notice at 3000 RPM to see if I notice any boom or drone and get back to you.

I have the rear section (bought NIB also), and it definitely did not do that...

Yeah, I've got a dinan...and I would never say it comes close to any sort of annoying drone...axle back on it's own was nearly stock loudness. I've since added test pipes which make it sound awesome without adding any drone either. Just makes higher rpms sound fab.

I had the Dinan rear section and that's odd. I thought it sounded the same as the OE exhaust.
