Hey Luc, sorry to hear about your parents situation. I know how much you loved your M3 so I know it was a tough, but the right decision, to get rid of your M - Family does indeed come first. I have tons of for you! You'll get that new M4

Cheers! I raise my glass in your honor man! You're a good, noble and honorable human being. I cannot begin to imagine how proud your parents must feel to have raised you with good values like this. One day, you'll look on your kids and hopefully get the same emotion. You're going to do great in the future and in life with a mentality and humility like this and life will surprise you with many good things. I have no doubts man, you'll do more than alright and thanks for sharing this. Hope there's more people like you in the world!

It sucks that I have to say this, but I gave up my M3 yesterday. Iíve had it since 2009 and have enjoyed each and every minute of it. My plan was to keep the car until the M3/4 came along. But my parents encountered some misfortune a couple months ago and I have been taking care of them since. With my father having health issues and not being able to work and my mother recently being laid off, I took over their monthly expenses such as mortgage, health insurance, car payments, etc. I made some sacrifices to be able to do this. But even after all that I was barely able to pay our bills every month. I absolutely refused to get rid of my M3 because I loved it too much. I didnít consider the insurance, gas, and maintenance money a costly expense. I didn't realize I was stressed out. It wasnít until yesterday when I was driving home and almost getting into an accident because I was distracted thinking about my situation that I thought to myself ďwhat the hell am I doing?Ē. So I went to my BMW dealership and sold my M3 to them (Thank god it's paid off) and financed a used car. Amazingly it was enough to pay off both my parentís car loans with some money left over for the mortgage/down payment.

I am a little bummed over this, but itís only a car and there are more important things in life. I know this is only temporary and I'll be back in action in no time.

I want to take this moment to thank each and everyone of you guys (and ladies). From the extremely helpful members to the non contributing funny guys, THANK YOU! you guys are awesome! Thank you all for the loads of information and constant humor. I have learned so much and have made plenty of great friends here. This is a great community and I feel honored to have been a part of it. I'll still be lurking around here from time to time but not as much because I don't want to get bit by the cyber mod bug again.

Regards,
Luc
It is a hard thing to do but hardwork and patience pays off as I am sure your sacrifices will return in good luck and blessings in the near future.. good luck.

+ all 42 posts above me.

Its all good. Only an intermittent pause. Once those repayments are made, you'll have enough time to save up, maybe wait out 1st year or 2 for BMW to iron out all the electronic problems and what not. Just in time to get back into a M3/4.
