335i v M5

Got outta class today, pulled up at a light behind an M5 that had an esienmann exaust.

We took a left then a right and got on the highway, the M5 in P500 Sport hit the gas, so I grinned and followed.

Some chick nearly ran me off the road, she like pulled over into me I was like WTF!!@!@!@!$!, so I got back on track and got up behind the M5.

Me and the M5 hit the gas simultaneously, and we were both accelerating, but the funny thing is the gap between us DIDNT CHANGE, we were both like wow thats cool.

Once we hit about 160, the M5's sweet spot, he began too pull slowly, and we shut it off at about 170 with an extra 1/4 car length between us.

Car deffinatly had exhaust, possibly software, but I still gave him a run for his money, it would be great to see from a dig.

The guy obviously knew the car and was in P500 sport, I recognize him as one of the loacl M5 board guys and remember seeing him at a meet down here. Im gonna try to get ahold of him and get a video

How did you hit 170? Did you do a speed limiter defeat?

Also, you didn't talk to him, so how do you know what mode he was in?

Ive seen the guy at meets, I dont have a govt. I have a 430hp 335i, which needs another dyno because it should be higher now

Without a limiter the stock M5 will do 205 mph

+1 The speed on a 335i goes to 160MPH. Something doesn't sound right here.

Yeah and unlike a 335i, an M5 can actually handle that speed.

Well, I was referring to stock, like he was. I'm pretty aware that any car can go 200+ if you put enough into it.

I'm not really familiar with your setup, but how did you manage to kill speed limiter and get 430HP? Do you have dyno print-outs to prove?

That's nothing dude, I beat out a F16 taking off from a dig, hit 180 and my wheels got off the ground before his

Look at my sig for my car, it has alot of work, Intercooler proceed intake downpipes lsd suspension methanol injection and more. Ill post dynos as soon as i can get it back to the dyno.

It was deffinatly ~170 I know how these car feel at that high of a speed, the speedometer stops at 150 with the way I have it set up.

No offense man, your car may get to 430 with the meth injection, I really don't know, but without that, just with the v1 procede, intake, dp, intercooler, etc., you're not getting 430 hp. I'll wait till you post a dyno sheet with those mods listed in your sig. Also, why haven't you done any 1/4 runs and put them up on dragtimes?

He didn't mention that the 430hp was WHP.

At 430 flywheel hp, the lighter 335i should be pretty close to the 500hp heavier M5. hp/lb should be pretty close, and what do you know, so were the cars.

It may pain you guys to hear this, but M cars dont have some magic inside them that makes them unbeatable. They're nice cars, but FAR from untouchable as some on this forum would like to believe.
