My response:

"You're free to ask any price for your vehicles, the market determines sales price. The invoice on the car, as optioned, is $69,385 (plus $2879 in dealer add ons), so you are in no danger of losing money. What I find disturbing is that the locater service that led me to you promised a great deal. Your offer of a $3,000 discount was a good start. But, early in our conversation, I brought up MF and stated what BMW FS was offering. You did not correct me. And the MF I listed isn't anything special, as it's offered nationwide. Most dealerships disclose this information up front, at least when a buyer brings it up. Clearly, your discount price was no discount, as you were snatching it back with a higher MF than what BMWFS is offering, hoping I was too ignorant to discover it."

that's too bad....but good on you for saying your piece on this and walking away. this clearly wasn't a deal for you.

keep us posted if you find anything else.

I will. This is why I hate car buying. There is always a scumbag that ruins it.

It's situations like this that have led to me buying all of my BMW's (..about 9 thus far) from the same guy and the same dealership up until recently (..he moved to another dealership after over 10 years at the previous one). He earned my trust early on, and has always provided stellar service and excellent deals on the cars that he has sold me. Some salesmen are just complete scum.

Take your business elsewhere. I've ran into many dirtbags like that.

OP, Just for reference, I did a 39 month lease, 15k miles. Invoice 60,5xx, msrp 65,9xxx.
Settled on 1000 over invoice for deal.

Lease was 820/month $ (4 k negative equity from STI trade-in built in, 0$ upfront, only first month payment at signing).

After I took Rim/Tire, and Dent/Ding (both well worth it IMO), it came to 930/month.

It's high for a lease, but that's what we get for ordering last year of production.
Without my trade and stealership extras I would've been around the 750/month range.

Good luck with the lease.

My only decision left is whether to buy out the car when the lease is up. I love it so much.
