Found a use for a leftover GC coilover conversion kit!

I had a kit leftover from a previous car and one day I noticed that GC is selling MCS dampers. Called them up and they said they could reuse my coilover conversion parts on the MCS single adjustables. Dampers were custom valved to my spring rate by MCS - can't wait to get them on the car! Trevor at GC has been a big help along the way! Hopefully will have them on the car next week...

Here's a pic:

WOW!

Awesome deal Barry!

What's the ID of the springs?
Did MCS have to provide a custom sized spring collar to fit the GC Coilover Kit?

Hopefully these work out better than the motons. Keep us posted on the mcs. I'm eyeing the doubles for my e36 but will wait for the early adopters like yourself to work out the kinks this time around.

This is good news. I can reuse my GC Coilover Sleeve Kit when my EDC Shocks go instead of having to buy a full coilover kit.

Hmmm, it would be cool to do this with my KW sleeve kit but I don't think the springs would work out.

Result is pretty good overall! Ride quality is very comfortable. I'm still dialing in the handling aspect - trying different combos of adjustment front and rear. I'm running 440/600 springs and I'm thinking about going up in spring rate as the dampers really make the ride quality quite good. Currently I can run full stiff and the ride is still in the acceptable range. Also set ride height at 5" front and 6" rear (frame height). Plenty of room to go lower but I chose not to as I understand much lower will cause bump steer.

It's been raining so much here that it's been challenging to drive the car and dial it in. Besides, the real test would be a track event and I haven't been able to get to VIR yet. Will keep you guys posted.

Thx!
