Factory Service Manual

As alot of you guys I prefer to do awork on my cars/bikes myself, and I was planning on doing the same for my newly acquired 2009 E90 M3 (certainly not all but some). However, after searching the internet high and low including this forum I cannot seem to find any service manuals; either for sale or download. I certainly dont mind paying for it (as long as it is of good quality and complete)!

I have seen some of the DIY posts around and people show pictures of some type of manual here and there, but Im not sure if it's the factory service manual.

Have you guys had any luck finding/buying the manual?

Any help or guidance would be highly appreciated!

More explanation please. How does an independent shop work on M3s; or for that matter how does the dealer's shop work on them without a manual?

You can buy a 24 hour subscription for $30. Print everything you can in 24 hours and put it in a 3-ring binder.

It has the step-by-step, torque values and everything a service manual would have, except it is out on the net. It is pretty good, I've used it before.

Yes you can print stuff from there. I've done it before.

There is no manual made other than the TIS subscription.

Somebody needs to print out the whole manual into PDF's and share it w/ everybody!!

No need for high speed printer, just print to PDF and save on drive.

I have never seen the TIS website post subscription so I would not be able to tell. I am assuming it is divided in sections though, so printing pdf would not be a problem.

Go to the Training and Repair Info, and look for (speculating as I have no idea what the page looks like) indexes that contain the info on the various topics, such as Drivetrain, Suspension, etc.

Then open the printer tool (Ctrl + P) and print to PDF. If you dont have PDF, download either Adobe PDF or CutePDF (Free).

Correct. You cannot "print all". You have to do repair by repair. It will take a lot of time and work if you want "everything".

So i went through and got the things that I was planning on doing. They have everything from replacing air filter to full engine replacement. so alot of info that I dont need but i got the basics and a few in anticipation of replacement that will happen in the future.
