Exclamation Beware of Virginia Scammers Neuron Sanders aka tpm3off and John Hing aka turbokanji

Beware of Virginia Scammers Neuron Sanders aka tpm3off and John Hing aka turbokanji

Cliffs:
1-8-2013: I an ad for a iPhone on E46fanatics.com, and send the seller an offer; he then sent me back a counter offer
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=962218

1-9-2013: I sent the seller a payment of $450 for the iPhone

1-10-2013: Seller confirms receipt of the payment
1-21-2013: I receive the phone and it is not at all as described, I bring the complaint to the seller and he asks me to send him the pictures
1-29-2013: Pictures were sent to the seller's email address (nmsaunders@ymail.com)
2-6-2013: Seller claims he was on vacation and will take care of everything upon his return.
2-16-2013: I shipped the phone back to the seller via USPS

2-22-2013: Seller confirms receipt of the phone
3-7-2013: Seller decides that he is going to send me the phone back, not provide a replacement, or a refund
3-7-2013: Seller acknowledges his original advertisement had misrepresented the phone
3-11-2013: Seller claims the iPhone will be shipped to me on 3-13-2013
3-25-2013: I continue to ask for a refund, and the seller continues to decline without any reason
3-26-2013: I decided to take the phone as it was because at this point having something is better than nothing
Approximately 4-10-2013: The seller and I have a phone call conversation, he informed me that he still hasn't shipped me back the phone but he plans on doing so when he gets a chance.
4-30-2013: I filed an FBI internet crime complaint against this individual in hopes of getting my money back.

His info:
Neuron Sanders
912 Colonial Ave
Williamsburg, VA 23185
7578498913
nmsaunders@ymail.com

Paypal Resolution Center:
I have spoken to Paypal's Resolution Center numerous times about this, and while they agree that the seller is clearly in the wrong here, they claim that because too much time has passed since the original payment, they can no longer do anything to help me.

Conversation logs:
While I did not record the various times I have spoken to this guy on the phone, I did log the text message conversations we had. Itís a 10 page document which is too long to post, so if anyone wants to see the entire text message conversation, simply send me your email address and Iíll send it right over.

Proof that he is also turbokanji:
(Screenshots are provided before these guys delete the posts)

He is now selling his m3 here:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=776843

If anyone knows this guy, have him call/text me, all I want is my money back.

From what I heard, they have a special department dedicated to internet crimes. I'm trying to do everything possible here to get my money back, even if it means trying options that aren't so strong.

Hard lesson learned, but when crap like this goes down you must ALWAYS put a date on the table and hold to it . "If not resolved by X date, I'm running the show my way and how I want to." End of story. 90 days is all you have with CC company and Paypal. Sorry man, had you posted earlier I would have given you some solid advice I've learned over the years. I'm very resourceful, but 90 days is where the line is drawn in the sand.

Sadly I wanted to do that, but things were going well within the 90 day period. The seller was communicating with me and being very understandable, it was only after the 90 day period was up that the seller started acting differetnly.

As for your advice, if you can provide some tips, then please do.

Think about it man, if things are too good to be true, then they must not be...

I hate to be the one to say this, but I'd rather get ripped off for $450, then somebody else get ripped off for 40K on that car.

FBI internet crime seems a bit extreme and they wont even waste a second looking at this. Why don't you try disputing the charge through the credit card company or bank? Just tell them paypal will not assist you and you never received your merchandise. end of story.

It is a bit extreme, but I am not trying to take this loss without a fight.

Disputing the charge - I paid via PayPal balance, so the credit card companies or banks will not be able to help out here.

Claiming I never received my merchandise - That is a lie, and I'm not willing to lie to get money that is already owed to me.

Thanks man, I hate to drag a good guy through the mud, but turbokanji was the one that received my money so to my knowledge he's just as involved as the other parties.

Good luck, helped you out there on turbokanji fs thread. I'm just confused why one person posted the item, yet a different person received payment.

I can see why someone would do it, aside from intentional fraud, but it makes the transaction more inefficient

Thank you for that.

RE: Why
I agree with you, I really have no idea why one person would receive payment for another individual, especially when it is so easy to create a paypal account of your own nowadays. To me it seems more of a deflection of blame than anything else; Rather than him taking the heat for this mishap, he's pointing towards this third party. I have asked him via PM to refund me the money on behalf of that third party, but he refused, simply stating that he does not want to.

On one hand I hear great things about turbokanji, but on the other hand I'm seeing the way this situation is getting handled and I'm quite appalled.

Update:
6-2-2013: John confirmed Neuron still has the iPhone
6-3-2013: I explain that if they still have the item (which I no longer need back), then a refund would only be fair.
6-7-2013: I remind the John that I'm still waiting to hear back from him

Since you no longer have the item, they essentially stole your money, I would file a police report at this time, at this point it's criminal what they did.
