what Audi doesn't have numb steering?
I've owned 2
both sucked in the steering feedback department

I looked at the cayman and 911. I am a huge Porsche fan and I wanted one of those cars badly. One day a friend told me to look at an M3, and I was a bit hesitant since I've had pretty much every 3 series out there lol. I decided to try an M out and it was a good decision. However, one day I will get a Porsche.

the cayenne does have better back seat space, the cargo space seems similar.

the q7 is a stretched cayenne.

I would definitely go for the cayenne if it is an option

A few months ago when I was looking at a replacement for my 01 M5 I was looking at:

'14 Mustang GT MT (love the look as we have a '13 V6)
'11 328ixdrive coupe CPO (felt quick for a N52)
'09 335xdrive CPO (didn't feel as fast as the 328 for some odd reason)

In the end I chose a '13 x1 xDrive 35i

When looking for my 335i I also looked at the STi and Golf R. The E90 just felt like the best balance of everything I wanted. I just wish they sold the E91 335i in North America.

True, there is very little feedback (bordering on none) in my S4, it is weighted nicely at speed (it bugs me that it goes completely weightless at low speed, I don't like variable weight steering) it is precise, but you don't feel the texture of the road.

Sadly, the S4s steering felt better then the new 335 that I cross shopped it against. I have had 4 bmws before this and never considered Audi, but BMW lost their way....for now.

Do you have ADS? When in Dynamic mode, the steering feels pretty nice and is virtually weightless in Comfort mode.

I HATE weightless.

I've got all the bells and whistles. To be fair to the car, my two previous cars were a 987 Boxster S and an E60 M5, so I'm spoiled and picking nits. But all cars are so good these daystht the only way to decide is to be nit picky. I also wanted all wheel drive.

If you change the drive select to Dynamic, the steering feels much better.

Which S4 do you own?
My current one is a n 04 B6 S4 convertible
It's my winter/summer beater
Just didn't want to put too many miles on my E30 M3

It is a drastic difference between the 2
One is mute
One is like having a conversation with the most interesting man in the world

2013, 7 speed flappy paddles (the best automated manual I have driven). it is a very good sporty sedan, it serves it's purpose well, but a sports car it is not. I am looking forward to getting it on the track. I am certain that it will not embarass itself

I have always heard the last generation RS4 (B7?) had decent steering. Other than that... Yeah they really all do.

I knew I wanted a BMW, so I didn't really look at many other brands. I briefly entertained the thought of a Porsche 928, but I decided that would be unwise.
I looked at:
BMW E38- they were a bit too much for the mileage and condition requirements I wanted.

BMW E39- Really the same as E38

E46- Great combination of sport and luxury.

I will probably be sticking with BMW with my next car as well. These are the cars I will be looking at in the next few years.

Z4 3.0si Coupe
M235i Coupe/Gran Coupe
330i ZHP
Maybe a BRZ, if their prices come down. I couldn't spend more than 20k on a car like that.
